New Year- 2010

Well I guess 2009 was a really amazing year. Finally finished secondary school, SPM is over, now it's time to go to college. I guess I'm both really scared and excited to move on. I've just had to make a real decision in life, choosing what course to do in college, which is the A levels. It's the beginning of making choices that's gonna directly impact my life, mom and dad play a lesser role every day from now on. Gotta start learning to be independent and to make good choices. Yeah 2010 signifies a new beginning like every other year, but unlike every year before this, I don't go back to school wearing a uniform, my choices aren't already made for me, instead this time around I have more power in my hands, power to choose right or wrong, and to shape my future. I wish all of you who have read this and all my friends a Happy New Year and also I hope all of you start to make good choices and are ready to face the new year. Good luck to all of you in 2010, it's gonna be over before you know it, and 2011 is just around the corner. Live in the moment while having the wisdom to plan for the future. Sports-(Essay)

Well Nick said I should upload this essay and Cheryl wanted to read something so here it is!

Sports has been around since the beginning of time, since man stepped out of the cradle of life in Africa. To many, sports is merely something to pass time, games such as football, rugby and hockey. However, I believe that is a shallow perception of sports, I believe sports relates to mankind’s most primal nature, it is the spirit of competition, the will to best another, to be the strongest of all, this is what I think sports is all about. Sports used to be about ancient values forgotten about today, such as honesty, valor, courage and persistency.

In ancient Greece, one of the greatest civilizations of mankind, sports was seen not only as a pass time, or competition but as a tribute to the gods. One such event was the Olympics. Once every four years representatives would gather from Athens, Sparta, Corinth and all corners of Greece to compete in Olympia. The Olympics were always held in Olympia as Zeus was a unique god to them. The Olympics were held as tribute to Zeus and of course for each kingdom to prove its superiority. The competitors would compete, completely naked in events such as discus throwing. The Olympics has evolved into what it is today. Today many events have been added into the Olympics and it is an internationally recognized event where countries across the globe send their athletes to compete.

Rome, the empire built by Romulus had a great affinity for sports. The Coliseum was built by Emperor Flavian to provide entertainment for the people of Rome. The structure portrays roman architecture at its finest and even today people still marvel at its beauty. Many sporting events took place in the Coliseum However, the Coliseum is most famous for its gladiators. Romans considered watching prisoners battle for their freedom a very amusing sport. These prisoners would be called gladiators, armed with weapons and armor, they were to battle each other and animals such as lions. The gladiators were ill-equipped and on occasion had to battle mounted foes, sometimes on chariots. The champion would gain his freedom and the loser may live or die at the discretion of the emperor of Rome.

In Victorian Europe sports had declined as it was considered more of a past time. Sports was more of a privilege as only the rich would partake in sports. The poor were too busy working trying to make sure their families had food on the table. The Victorians indulged in sports such as horse racing and polo. These sports seemed to be more of a way to meet friends rather than an actual competition. Since only the rich had access to it, not many people were given the opportunity to compete. It was important for a man to be involved in sports but that was as far as it went, competition was scarce and it was just mans version of evening tea.

Today sports is accessible to all throughout the globe and athletes are paid to compete. Athletes no long have the spirit of competition as they are only interested in money. The values of courage, valor and honesty are a thing of the past. Athletes are millionaires, endorsements are given to athletes, and millions are made from the sales of sporting merchandise. In fact the athlete is more like a product or an expensive investment rather than a competitive sportsman. However, it isn’t all that bad as we are given the privilege to watch athletes compete across the globe on television. Besides that, advances in technology have allowed us to create faster and stronger athletes, and these athletes are able compete on an international level. It is exhilarating to watch top level athletes battle it out to assert their superiority. We are lucky that today everyone is given a chance to compete in sports and athletes are held in high regard.

In conclusion, sports is not just about a fun pastime, it is a way of life, a fragment of our existence that brings out our primal nature ingrained in us since the beginning of time, the spirit of competition. As in the world it is everyman for himself, survival of the fittest.

Time To Move On

Its time for me to open my eyes and ears. Its time to move on. Gotta realize that its probably an impossible goal, and well frankly there's no point making anyones life complicated now. I can devote 100% to studying or if not then these 2 things =D

Hrm No Specific Title? LOL

WEll lets see since i havent updated like 4ever I'm just gonna hentam watever comes to my mind in no chronological order.

Lets see Elena's sprained ankle is definitely something I remember :D. One fine day, a talish chinese girl walked to school. In the morning her friends were talking to her, and she was saying how because of her spine surgery last year she can't really feel pain or feel pain that well, smthing like that. Then she says her leg hurts abit right, so then she asks teacher in class so she can go to canteen and buy ice for her leg.(yes so she bought her own ice) Then she put ice on her leg, got worse and worse and in the end it bruised soo bad was huge. Was kinda funny since it was her lol. Then Wormy/Mahogany, Joo Er and Ceng Yew got the PC kits from the bilik sakit and attended to her. So.. after Pn Jugdeep talked to a few teachers bla bla bla, the girl's mom couldnt come to school and neither her dad, so 2 teachers had to take her to the Kg. Pandan Klinik. Manwyn came along and like a professional, unbuttoned his blazer, took a look at her leg, looked up at her and asked, "So what happened?". Like a pro doctor LOL. Well according to Elena she fell on the way to school near Petronas. So naturally we asked "how?". And as only Elena could amaze us, she didnt remember..... >.< Yeah.. Well in the end Manwyn n I carried her to the car, Manwyn wrapped up her leg with some bandage. Joo Er and I followed Elena to the Klinik. We pushed her around in a wheel chair LOL. Took long enuf tho... Well atleast I got to buy food for my rehat from Rejab :D Soooo I didnt really mind in the end :D. This could only happen to our little retard Elena :D

HRm.. Lets see what else..My Pn. Zakiah incident? Well, during moral class 1 day, Tim decided to sit near me n Wormy/Mahogany and so did Serene. So we were doing our work but chatting at the same time. Then Pn Zakiah told Tim to sit somewhere else, and she said "Jangan duduk dgn org tak pandai". Boy did i blow up after that, I was sooo pissed(dunno why tho, usually these things don't bother me(ask Chris) but... maybe it was accumulated rage for her since erm 4ever?) So when she left our place to round the class/sit at the teachers table, I threw my moral work sheet on the floor, and decided to do add maths. Then she came back and asked me why I was doing add maths and if i finished my work. Sooo I said "Cikgu panggil saya bodoh, tak payah buat kerja kan?". She got upset and said stuff like I think im soo smart so I can step on her head izit, and apparently she was tearing(cryingish) in class but i didnt know cuz i didnt look at her. Then she said she was going to report me to Mr Tan so I told her to do it..............Then 20 mins later I was at the discipline room talking to Mr Tan about what I did... So after a lengthy conversation, he asked me what I wanted him to do. So I said if he had to he can rotan me. He said he doesnt rotan prefects and he wanted me to apologise to Pn Zakiah and score higher in my moral. Even though I felt I was right and I should just not apologise, all my friends and well my mom(my brothers think i shld just stand my ground)(Family advise was during weekend) advised me to apologise. So I tried to find her on that Friday but I couldnt find her so on Monday morning I looked for her again but then I didnt see her. So.. Monday morning I tried to see her, but she wasn't at school yet. Then I had Moral class but i didnt think it was the right time to bring it up, and well EVERYONE in class was making noise but i was just talking like usual not noisier than the ppl at the back of the class. Then during recess Mr Tan calls me up asks me why I didnt apologise yet, and why Pn Zakiah reported that I was still the same like I was still talking in class.(LIKE WTF EVERYONE WAS TALKING!) So Mr Tan said I had to apologise by that day itself and report back to him, or else I had to resign from prefects. So, found her after a long search and told her I was sorry. She pulak told me to ask her if I could speak to her, then after I asked, she said to wait for awhile while she finished up something. Then, etc long conversation bla bla. Yeah so resolved.. Tho she's nicer to me now.

IU Day N Campfire. Tons of work... felt like crap that I was involved in either since trials were soo close. Well loads of practice and preperations involved, but in the end it was all worth it, for sure. IU Day was a blast the dance was fun. Tho I had like 4 diffrent people style my hair! Started with Bryan who did a reallly freaky job, tho he was soo happy about it, telling me my hair was soo smooth and how he felt what he did was awesome. I walked out of the class, and everyone was like shocked. So back in and Ooi Thong n Cheong did my hair, not that great apparently, so Maggie did my hair. Then in the end Rocyie did it like so simply in the end. Har I felt the dance was pretty good compared to the practices haha. Fun n fast :D. Thanks 4 the dance Serene :D. Then Campfire pulak, took Serene with me to Pasar Seni to buy the buah tangan for other schools n VIPs for Campfire. IN THE END no schools turned up, got to sell the souveniers tho, stil have 10 left >< AJK BUY!! LOL. Well then the Gajek was amazing. Srsly amazing, Scouts did a great job :D Best Gajek I've ever seen Stallion Scouts build in my 5 years in SAB. Campfire was pretty interesting on my end I guess, other ppl said it was boring as usual. Tho thank you SABIANS for showing ure support, if not for you guys we would really be screwed. Yep well campfire was great :D.

Trials? Well was interesting, havent got my results back so I'm just gonna say I hope 4 my 10 A1s :D

Holidays. Well it was alright. On the Friday school ended, went out with Chow,Clement, Garry,Wormy/Mahogany, Serene Tai, Yee Shan, Tong Kwun, Elena, Michelle, Jonathan, Ceng Yew, Adam, Serene Liew, She Mei, Kimberly,Kai Shek, and Rou Jun n Su Yin(they turned up later for Su Yins bday, went shopping b4). Hope I didnt miss anyone was such a big group of us. Well it was a fun outing, first time I tried bowling. FUN AS HELL! Played 3 games izit? then 1 more game with Adam. Then, looked for my pimple cream but I couldn't find it.. So balik lor. Oh I saw Ronald at TS :D. Then the next few days just exercised as usual n go online.. On Tuesday I went out with bro to watch District 9, BAD MOVIE. Wednesday I went to play basketball at Tmn Segar with Francis, JJ,Aaron,Wei Lim, n Jason Leong. Had loads of fun lol. Then we ate at Wong Kok in Leisure Mall, RM4 for a medium sized bowl of noodles, egg, n sausage, and a drink. Well this time I didnt eat much since parents were gonna buy lunch. Friday I went out with Elena, Tong Kwun, Maggie for bowling again. Boring this time, only 4 of us sigh.. Then ate lunch at Kenny Roggers. Ate 1/2 CHICKEN :D. Sadly while the 4 of us weer at TS, Kim, Kai Shek, Manwyn, n Clement were watching 2 movies in Pav(clement watched 1). Then Clement came over when we finished eating lunch, so did Chow n Josie. I decided to watch G.I. Joe with Josie. GOOD DECISION :D. AWESOME MOVIE. Then after the movie we met 2 friends from other schools. Then Josie followed me to buy milk at TS LOL, and we grabbed cheesesticks at papa johns, I also packed 1 for the night :D. Then we walked to Pav so Josie could tapau dinner, called to see if Kimmy was still there(mana tau can see fashionista ma)too bad she left 4 minutes b4 we arrived. Then walked back to Hang Tuah station and went home :D The 2nd half of my day was fun. Sunday I went to Tesco with parents. Bought tons of stuff, rolled oats, peanuts, almonds, chicken breasts, lamb shanks and whatnot. So I cooked lunch and dinner on Sunday. For lunch I had this Casseroleish thing, potato base, middle was chicken, black pepper,onions,lots of cheese and the top was potato,cheese and cajun spice. Dinner was just some seasoned chicken breast. I also made home-made peanut butter :D, Tried to make a protein bar on Saturday but instead I got some tasteless, Protein Biscuit/Hard Cake. Made a protein bar 2day, it turned out great! Tastes like snickers. Bringing it to school to eat :D. Har so thats my hols :D

Planning to eat healthier from now on :D Well I think that's all for now, can't remember anything else at the moment. CYA :D

Turning Over A New Leaf

Well after bicara akademik I guess I should listen to the advice from Puan Jugdeep and my mom.LOl. Time to change! Become more quiet, and pay more attention in class. Study hard, less talkative and less waisting time. Hopefully my friends are gonna help me and remind me from time to time to remember my resolution xD. Scout AGM was a blast! Relieved to finally give up my responsibilities. Last thing to do is Campfire then its all study! I can't believe ppl said I cried. Really? Well it was really touching la! Tim praised me kat depan semua orang, then ask everyone hormat me pulak! Embarrassing but touching!Thanks a lot Tim, it meant a lot.

Good luck to AJK Scout 2009/2010. I'm happy you guys got your posts. I'm proud of you! I have high hopes for u guys! Bring scouts back to zaman kegemilangan! You're a bunch of amazing people with amazing talents, I know you won't disappoint us.

Transformers 2

Best MOVIE EVER!! OMG Optimus Prime rocks soo much! People you ALL have to see this! I'll only compare Transformers and Transformers 2 to Lord of The Rings 2 and 3. It was sooooo goooood!! Well I won't ruin the experience for those of you who are planning to watch it soon.

O and I ate papa john's, 1 12"pizza, cheese stick and chicken wings shared with Xin Yi. Then I didn't feel like eating the donuts.. SO just to make sure I tasted Krispe Kreme I bought 1 donut to eat in the cinema. YES I failed in my epic quest to eat 12 donuts. Oh well maybe one day when I replace lunch with it xD. Too bad for Wormy or Wern Xin for those of you who aren't familiar with the name calling xD. U coulda been watching Transformers instead of learning chem n bio :P

Wow Anugerah Cemerlang was soo retarded today.. Discipline errr.. department? :D had to keep the noise level down(which wasn't hard), take care of the doors, move the tables n benches on the stage,clean up the place AND move the stupid chairs into the lorry. Oh then must go unload ALL the chairs, tables, flowers, who knows what la, from the lorry in school.. Macam bangla/pendatang asing haram, kerja like mad for some cash ><.. Well least Pn. Chew was generous enough to give us RM100, so we could go spend it in KFC :D. Okay la Yan Yuan, you're mom bukannya teruk la. Only on days I can't play bball then I marah xD. Well atleast after the hectic day we got to lepak and talk nonsense. Uncle Leong looks so old, I can't imagine him playing football! Sry Manwyn xD.

Went Out =D

Yay got to watch Terminator Salvation with bros and mom in Pavillion. So I saw Aina and I think RIFHAN!(but I only said hi to Aina) And Aina was like huh? who are u??? Then she was like OH USHANA! lol And I saw and old friend I used to go tuition with in f3 Desiree. Funny she was like pulling her bro along. Well then went to see the movie with a box of J.Co and some extra stuff. OH!! We bought Famous Amos cookieS!! GOtta get some now!... OKAY back! lol mmm DELICIOUS!!! Well Terminator Salvation wasn't as awesome as I expected it to be. I think Transformers 2 is gonna be soo much better. Can't wait to see that in IMAX! Well I'm gonna turn in for the night.
